Wild Weekend!

This past weekend, Travis went off with my dad to look for apartments while I went to look for a dress! Funny story about that experience, but I may just wait to share it. My dress is beautiful and I'm very happy with it.
We also booked our reception location in Utah this past week. Here's a picture of the lower ballroom at Castle Park Events in Lindon (where we will have our celebration!):

I also was blessed enough to receive my endowments on Saturday. Brother and Sister Andelin came down to go with me through the temple! It was absolutely wonderful to see them! My own parents came up from Georgia as well, which was an added treat!

Wedding Planning

          Wedding planning is so stressful! We have been planning and planning this wedding for a little over two weeks, and we still have so much to do. I am so grateful for the friends and family who have offered to help us get everything together! The reception dates are as follows:

Utah: April, 27th
Georgia: June 15th
Washington: May 18th at the Andelin Home

          Hopefully we will have more of an idea where the other two celebrations will be located in the next few days or so. Dress shopping this weekend!!

Valentine's Day Update

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day as an engaged couple! We went to the restaurant where we had our first date, and then went Latin dancing!

Today we called around looking for a reception center, but most of them were closed. We also registered at Kohl's and Bed, Bath & Beyond!

Hopefully, we will have luck finding a place to celebrate our marriage. If you have any ideas of venues or vendors, comment below!

Our Engagement Story

Travis and I (Carla) usually go to the temple every other week. This past Thursday was our day to go! Trav picked me up earlier than usual - he had a puny lunch and wanted to eat at a buffet before we went to do baptisms. He wouldn't tell me where we were going! We kept driving and driving until we were in Salt Lake - about 45 minutes later! Trav took me to dinner at the Roof. Our seats were right in front of the temple.

Dinner was excellent! We had our choice of many different dishes, such as prime rib and king salmon. It was a buffet, after all! Dessert was just as wonderful. The restaurant offered over 25 choices. Between Travis and I, we tried half. 

We finished our meal and went down ten stories to Temple Square. It was about 9 o'clock and no one else was around. We walked in front of the temple and Travis began to tell me how he felt about me. He kneeled down and pulled out a ring box. "Will you marry me?" He asked. I said yes and kissed him. Then he got up and put the most beautiful ring on my finger. We were engaged!

And we couldn't be happier!
